It looks like after lots of heated debate over who would be the next Batman, with names ranging from Josh Brolin and Ryan Gosling, that the actual guy playing Batman isn’t anyone we have heard of yet. Or even thought of. Warner Bros has been pulling our legs for quite some time already, since the comic-con announcement, and now it looks like the Batman which will be replacing Christian Bale in the Superman VS Batman movie, and potentially the Justice League movie would be none other than Ben Affleck! This controversial move was most likely done partially due to his relationship with Warner Bros, which helped them win a best picture for Oscars (Argo). He will face off against Henry Cavill when the film enters the marketplace July 17th 2015. This will mean that it arrives as the same period as the past Harry Potter films and Dark Knight films, along with Inception, in which Warner Bros has dominated every year since 2007. It will arrive a week after Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, and two weeks after the Independence Day sequel and the Illumination Entertainment’s next project (better remembered as the studio that brought you Despicable Me), which means it will arrive in a VERY packed marketplace.
That’s all for now, check back soon for more information on the upcoming Batman VS Superman film, including more casting news, as the film approaches it’s release date!
